For teams with DevOps capabilities, tools like Rancher can provide multi-cluster management. In my view, companies should assess their core competencies. Unless Kubernetes is an essential part of their product or their scale is large enough to support a dedicated Kubernetes team, managed services are a wise choice to optimize resource allocation and avoid diverting limited R&D resources to non-core activities.
